Possible use of Power Inverters for occasional Mobile Detailing power-source?

I just bought Power Bright 1500 Power Bright 12 Volt DC to AC 1500 Watt Power Inverter-PW1500-12 at The Home Depot for 140.99. It has a peak power of 3000 watts and powers anything you want. I plugged my AR Blue390 power washer and works like a champ and also my GG6 powered off of my Deep Cycle battery. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks a lot, this is really interesting. What did your setup from start to finish include to make this 100% complete from a factory vehicle, and have you tried to run a polisher or Shop-Vac etc. from the inverter yet?

Just went out and plugged both my GG6 and 5hp Shop Vac in and runs both like a champ. For setup takes less than a minute. Jumper cables from battery to inverter.

The jumper cables from battery to inverter is pretty smart actually, did not consider that. It might not look completely professional with the hood popped and some wires leading from the engine bay, but in a pinch it would be an extremely simple way to get the job done. I'd definitely want to dedicate a battery for this type of ongoing thing though, and there's not a surplus of space under the hood for bulky batteries. Luckily, in all the time I've been detailing, so far this has not become an issue - but I love having the option and a solution if/when it does.
