Its one week to go, time for you adventurous last minute people!

Would love to be able to make it up there. Needless to say work calls and not going to be able to. Please take some pics and post them to this thread.

I will Yancy but try and make some time to make it out next year. You could always get a nice pair of AG magnets for the sides of the car and make it a work trip, lots of photographers out there (hint, hint Mike Phillips)

We'll have plenty of pics on www.xceedspeed.com as its our homebase for the run and we've got a huge thread going on over there under events. Right now we've got 24 cars coming from 6 different states, lots of planning but it all pays off in the end!

Didn't take this picture. But it's a portion of road on Route 97 along the Delaware River. The whole road is very scenic and has some nice twisties on it if you are a spirited driver. Only problem is that it's highly traveled by families and of course they never go as fast as you want. Still an awesome road though!!

This road is awesome! they shot a few commercials on it also! I used to always be up there sport bike riding....

They also filmed part of the movie "Two Lane Blacktop" back in 1971, towards the end of the movie.

Dangit! I was supposed to be the first one to know about the Dragon! lol

Klasse Act what specific date are you coming down? I live in Englewood, TN which is about 30 minutes away from the beginning of Cherohala in Tellico. If you're coming down the 13th and 14th, I may make the trip up to meet yall.

I definitely love Cherohala and The Dragon. Only bad thing is the cops! Luckily last time I went, we saw two cops at the very end of the Dragon so it was wide open the whole way up....well as wide open as you can be on it lol. The Dragon is more slow, tight, technical curves (2nd and 3rd gear in my Mustang). Cherohala will be more fast, sweeping curves (3rd, 4th, and 5th gear).

You can copy and paste this link into google and it will show you the primary part of the Dragon. Geez this makes me wanna go right now and it's 12:47 a.m. :)

US-129 N to US-129 N/State Hwy 115 - Google Maps

Attached are pictures from The Dragon and Cherohala Skyway. I couldn't find any pictures to do Cherohala justice. Once you stop at some of the overlooks and take in some of the scenery, it's just absolutely gorgeous.

The first 4 pictures with my car is on The Dragon. The fifth and sixth pictures are some of Cherohala I found on the internet. 7th - 9th are of The Dragon, 10th is Cherohala in the Winter, and 11-13th is The Dragon. Cherohala is just gorgeous year round. I honestly have never seen anything more beautiful in Winter. You can go to facebook and check out Killboy.com. He is a photographer on The Dragon and takes TONS of pictures!

Everybody should make the trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah you should expect a trip to take about 6 hours or more depending on how many runs you make up and down The Dragon and Cherohala. If you guys have any questions, just let me know. I'll try to keep up with this thread, but I may forget

Great pics Flawless! We're coming down on the 11th and leaving the 14th. We used to stay at Caney Creek Village on route 360 but now we're on the Dragon itself this year at the Dragon Pitt Inn. We do have a couple people staying at Caney Creek this year though, look for a variety of cars from a couple CR-Z's, 240's, S2K, Miata's and everything inbetween!

I'll be leaving for the trip in about 16 hrs, just gotta get this called work out of the way today, drive home and try and get a little sleep before I awake @3:15 a.m. and get in the shower and pack up the car.

I hope to get a nice turnout from AG out there next year for sure, its going to be our 11th year or start of our 2nd decade going out there! Our group is so diverse now, so the AG community would fit right in and it really doesn't matter if your car is slow or fast, its how you drive it and enjoy the ride!

Looking forward to the pics, can't wait lol.

Sorry for the delay on the pics Yancy, and everyone else, just had to step away from things for a while:bolt:

The pics I did take are mostly of the cars that attended the event but I do have one of the Fontana Dam as well:dblthumb2:

Sorry, but my Photobucket is acting up, they changed their format and I now can't get into my pics!

I have two favorites. First is the Kangamangus Highway in Northern New Hampshire. Exceptional road for a car that can handle the twisty's. The scenery in the fall is magnificent. The moose are a hazzard though.
