Route 28, right off the Dragon at Deal's Gap, overall is better than the Dragon but you've gotta stay on it going S and it rewards you with the best of the Dragon and the Cherahola, not to mention a cool waterfall that you can actually drive under!
I'm getting married next year in the fall and my future wife and I are going down there for an entire week where I'll be able to explore other roads at my leasure, as well as show her the roads I've been telling her about for the past 5 yrs. Also at some point the "Million Dollar Highway" is also on the list for roads to do within the next couple years, its about 1200 miles from us here in Chicago (twice the distance to the Dragon) but from the pics I've seen, IT MUST BE DRIVEN!
