I wanted to call this thread "Post Your New Gear"; because that is what I call stuff like this - "gear". But, the idea behind this thread is to post stuff you just bought that's non-detail related. Could be car related. Could be your new Learjet. Could be a pair of sneakers - or a jar of barbecue sauce. Could be your new toupee or a vintage Megadeath t-shirt. Really, it could be anything you think someone may find interesting.

It wouldn't be the best idea to post stuff that was purchased from an AG competitor. While I have been guilty of this in the past - I try to not do it anymore.

So, to get this started....

I posted before that I like BT headphones and about an LG pair I bought. I loved the LGs, but have already been through 2 pairs of them due to one of the buds dying. I'm guessing this is related to sweat - since I wear them when I detail.

The Jaybirds are supposed to be "sweat resistant". Cost $100. Tests will follow. We will see.

These were drawn by the LA Times' artist Kim Casali from her comic strip in the mid1970s. Penn Maid sour cream came in these glasses for a while in the 1970s with some type of cardboard lid on the top. Most NE USA people of this vintage probably remember these glasses and they are somewhat collectable today - but not worth much. Thrift store find...75¢.

Here are a couple of my most recent purchases.

The pink kayak was given to us, I bought the fishing one and the new baitcaster rod/reel combo, along with some rigging I did to my kayak.

Everything I do is detailing related

I bought these shoes because I wanted something more comfortable to wear when I am either making a video, or in a public place where others are watching me work so I don't wear my beat up sneakers.

Plus I can detail faster with them, they let me move like a butterfly and polish like a geek, plus they look cool too, which is of course the most important part :p

Dr. Beasley's Leather lock seems to be awesome! cheap too...

I also did a water sheeting test and man this stuff works great, water sheeted right off, plus took them too Meguiar's TNOG and got M100 on them and when I got home, they very easily cleaned up, one gentle swipe with a mf towel was all that was needed, felt like the Junkman with his one swipe video of bird dropping! lol

I did debate of using UWW+ to clean them up but wasn't necessary.

I was... look at that sheet!!!

:D
