Post your spray bottle of choice!

They're cheap....and yeah...they're cheap! Save your money.

so odd. been using HD .99 cent bottles with no issues! will swing by and pick up autozone bottles to see if they are any better.

Reviving this a bit, but just picked up a few HD sprayers. Saw them while I was there so decided to grab a few. I have an Advance Auto Parts by me. So if these fail, I may look there. What do you guys do to rinse out the sprayers and clean them, just toss the sprayer and filter in a bottle of water and spray a few times?

That's what I have been doing with my APCs and other products that might harden or possibly eat away the inside. Just takes an extra minute and ensures that they stay working correctly for a long while. I know they are only $2 but I would rather not have a sprayer fail on me when I need it most.

I just went to my local Ace hardware this morning and picked up a decent spray bottle for $1. It's not bad for a dollar and it actually gets a nice fine mist. 34oz / 1000mL

You seriously bought this bottle for $1??

It looks like a very nice bottle. Might have to run to Ace

Yeah. The shelf sticker was $1.79, but it rang up at $1.00. They had red and green & it came wrapped in a plastic bag. It has Oz & mL markings on the side & is single action

I'm thinking of going back to pick up 3-4 more even though I don't need 'em. I've been using HD bottles with no real issues, but this one caught my eye & it seems like a great value.

So far the only bad thing about it I've noticed is the back of the spray head is really thin plastic, so if the bottle is full it kind of weighs down on your hand.

Man spray bottles are expensive!!
Spraymaster and chemical guys spray both leaks when tipped upside down....

I think the cheapest sprayer that doesnt leak is the griot garage ones...

For a $1 I would go back, does it saids the brand of it? I can't seem to find it on their site I might as well just stop by my local Ace.

No it doesn't have any labeling or a brand on it. I haven't seen them in my Ace before. It's been a month or so since I was there so maybe they are a special buy or something, idk. When I go back I'll ask someone if they know more about them.

The upc on this one is: 039593040483 says made in China

*edit*

They are "JMK" bottles if you search for them

Thanks found it!:xyxthumbs:

Does anyone just wash out some of their old bottles that came with product in them and reuse them? Recycling is a good thing.

To anal. All my bottles have to be the same.

Dear Ben & Friends

All my bottles have to be the same.

All the same would look good if we could design our own labels for them.

I like different bottles for purposes of easy identification. When that first bead of perspiration starts running down my forehead, my intelligence starts running with it. I like the different colors of Kwazar bottles, keeping a couple of products in the Kwazar (Venus Pro+) pressurized sprayers, and I think I'm about to add a Spraymaster to the lot for just plain water.

I'm new to this and after nearly five months of learning about it, I still can't buy a clue.

But I figured that if those expensive Kwazar bottles would last me ten years, they'd easily be worth their price.

I just wish I'd purchased the six-pack of them from the start--on a twenty-percent-off sale--so I could have reduced my expense even further.

If I were PMBG I'd offer a free Kwazar bottle as a gift for every order over US$100. Once you've used a sprayer that works as well as a Kwazar, you're afraid to try something else.

Absolutely. I'm using many of my old megs ultimate quik detail and ultimate quik wax bottle. Nice fine spray. I also reuse the quick detailer bottles that came with several megs and mother's clay kits I've bought over the years. I use those for ONR at QD strength and clay lube strength. The ultimate quik detailer bottles for UWW+. And I'm reusing an ultimate quik wax bottle for Meg's D156 synthetic express spray wax, which is pretty much exactly the same thing except with a merely pleasant orange scent versus the completely awesome, yet occasionally overpowering (but not in a bad way!) scent of ultimate quik wax. Did I just make sense? It's 3:00am here, and I'm not quite sure I'm making sense here, lol! Time for bed!

I do this a lot with the PB quarts. The bottles are pretty strong plastic.

The one I am waiting on is to empty my first ONR bottle. This will be my long term bottle for the 30:2 oz ( W:ONR ) pre soak spray that Nick (?) posted about with the v3 usage. already put a sprayer head on it, and it screws down ( the neck stands up a bit ).
It will be nice to have this one stand out so I do not grab it instead of the QD strength bottle ( QD mix I find for cleaning black plastic trim like mirror glamor caps during a ONR wash down to work well ).

Hair dryer and goo gone takes the label off the bottle.
Wordpad with 72 point font and shipping tape makes a nice new label.
In 72 point, the words ONR Spray take up ~ 75% of the bottle height ( reading sideways )

If you want logos, just download the jpg off the manufactures web site ( right click save image as ) , and add it to the label.
Want to get overly fancy, get the Avery labels. I like the shipping tape over the whole label, no runny words.

Isn't the QD mix 1:16, which is nearly the same as the 2:30 (1:15) mix that you're referring to? Here's what the AG site page for ONR says:

  • Add 1 ounce of No Rinse Wash & Shine to 2 gallons of water to make an excellent no rinse car wash. (1:256)
  • Add 1 ounce to wash water made with your regular car wash. (1:512)
  • Add 2 ounces of No Rinse Wash & Shine to a gallon of water to make a super-slick clay bar lubricant. (1:64)
  • Add 8 ounces of No Rinse Wash & Shine to a gallon of water to make an excellent quick detailer. (1:16)

Good catch:xyxthumbs:
I did the brain damage thing and made a gallon of QD with an old soap gallon container and a DIY remote spray head.
- I use this for scrubbing down the running boards and bumper cover on the truck.
I made a double spray head, bottle of the pre soak after watching the video .
I did not even think of the math, just did it and labeled the bottles.

Looks like I can use the ONR bottle for something else when it is empty and dump my spray bottle into the gal jug.

Thanks for figuring that out, saved me some bottle shelf room for something else :dblthumb2:

I too have found the Meg's consumer line spray bottles to be some of the most pleasant to use. I like them much better than the Detailer line of spray bottles they offer, however I have a lot of the Detailer lineup of bottles to make my products match. I just bought a bunch of the blank spray bottles and put on color-coded electrical tape and wrote the product on it (usually Optimum products). I think a nice label maker would be a worthy investment for those of us still trying to maintain a professional and consistent OCD-look to our lineup of products.

All the time, I've even bought clearance items at a vendor just to get a particular spray bottle i liked.
