I have 5 cars to do. 4 daily drivers (one black, one dark stone metallic, 2 silver) and my Stang ( windveil blue which is usually in good shape and doesn't take long). I usually start on a late Friday afternoon with the underside then spend Saturday and Sunday doing everything else.

Get cars up on lift and do a full underside wash with PB's APC (use my buddy's shop for this one)
Wheels removed and wells cleaned using PB's APC
Tires cleaned using PB's APC
Wheels cleaned in and out PB's spray and rinse
Paint washed with PB's super slick
Clay with PB's
Polish depends on damage; looks very lite right now on all of them luckily
Trim PB's trim restorer
PB's Black hole and white diamond
Seal with Collinte 845
Top with Natty's bue or red
Dress wells with PB's natural look
Wheels get Opti seal
tires get natural look
Glass is fully clayed (polished using auto glym as needed)
Glass sealed with aquapel
Chrome cleaned with optimum metal polish
Engine bays cleaned with PB' APC and dressed with CD2

Inside;
Full vac (seats are usually needed to come out, esp in the wifes explorer)
Cockpit cleaner and PB's APC
Stains removed using folex
All cloth/rugs steam cleaned and extracted using my steam vac/extractor
Mats cleaned, plastic ones cleaned or replaced if needed
Dress everything with PB's natural look
All leather cleaned and treated with Lexol
All door jambs, trunk and engine bay jambs cleaned with PB's apc and power washed as needed. Sealed where I can using Opti seal.

Then kill a bottle of grey goose LOL....for medicinal purposes for aches and pains.

It February in New England and another killer storm is heading this way so I'll just dream for a while. In the dream it's warm sunny day and I'm out in the yard in shorts and a t-shirt doing some detailing.

I'll begin with a two bucket approach using Duragloss Car wash. When I'm through I use my dedicated electric leaf blower to dry the surface. Once I'm sure everything just right I'll start on the exterior in the following order.

  • Clay Meguiar's Detailing Cly
  • Swirl Remover – Meguiar’s M105
  • Finishing Polish –Meguiar’s M205
  • Finishing Polish – Menzerna Polish PO85RD
  • Isopropyl Alcohol Clean
  • Seal - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
  • Wax - Collinite 845 or Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax.

Since I compounded my entire car a few weeks ago, I'm going to do a 2-step paint correction in a week or two. This is my current plan for the exterior:

1) Wash with C.G. car wash soap.
2) Clay with Megs OTC clay bar and ONR as lube (detailer strength).
3) Polish with PB's SSR2 on a CCS polishing pad.
4) Finish with 85rd on a CCS finishing pad.
5) Top with 2 layers of WGPS.
6) LSP, Souveran Wax.
7) Black Again on trim.
8) Stoner's trim shine where my hands don't reach (behind grill area).
9) C.G.'s bare bones on fender wells.
10) DP interior protectant on tires.
11) Klasse AIO on wheels.
12) DP glass cleaner.
13) Q-tip hard to reach areas with Klasse AIO (exterior).

My interior plans are:

1) Remove seats to reach all hard to reach areas.
2) Spot treatment on roof liner.
3) Klasse AIO on door jambs.
4) Leatherique PC on leather seats.
5) C.G. interior protectant on dash and where applicable.
6) Condition seats with Lexol conditioner (maybe).

And that's it for now. An area I'd like to detail, but fear screwing up, is a thorough engine detail.

Cannot wait for spring either. Its odd, washington and baltimore got hit with huge snow, yet up here in montreal, the jet streams divert that whole storm away from us. Weird...
Here's my plan for spring for the BM
- Washing it with the foam gun with Meguiars Gold Class. (maybe i'll buy a foam cannon for my new pressure washer i purchased back in automn
-gotta clean the wheel wells with some megs APC
- i'm gonna be claying with either mothers clay, or some danase medium clay bars depending on how rough the paint is.
- defenitely gonna be doing a 2 stage polish with some menzerna powerfinish, and maybe some megs 205 if it needs more jeweling.
-for sure have to clean, clay, polish and seal the summer tires going on the bm in the spring.
-should seal the paint with megs #21, followed by some danase carnauba paste wax or some mothers california gold (its brand new, so its a shame for it to go to waste)
-finally i'll treat the whole interiot and leather to a nice conditioning, and i'lll probably scrub down the carpets with apc and use the little green and shop vac to take care of lifting all the water out.
Should be fun. Don't know how long it'll take me but i figure a whole day minimum.
