I have a customer that had a repainted less than a month ago on his car.

He went to jiffy lube and the tech got the keyboard hooked on his leg when walking away. It went flying and hit his front fender leaving a nice little scuff.

He asked me to polish it. However I'm reaching out to the community to ask if I can touch the paint within the 30 day mark after repaint
 
Yes, use a body shop safe chemical with no silicones. Probably should avoid waxing if it's only 30 days (though it might be fully cured at this point, you would have to check with whoever painted the panel) to let the paint off gas properly.
 
Yes, you will be fine. (see above post as well for some good info!)

I thought I saw a post from a while back addressing the issue(s) of LSP's on new paint...some are good to use, others not. Still searching for thread!
