If you had the power to remove one thing on planet earth, what would that be?

I'll start, besides my X, swirls.

•Metaphysically speaking:
-Evilness…and all the associated
connotations this word invokes.

Bob

Note @Rsurfer:
“X” may be one such connotation… :dunno:

:joking: We are on good terms

Fleas, ticks, and mosquitos.

That's technically 3 things, so lets just say "All blood-sucking disease-carrying parasites".

“From this it follows that there is nothing to be called evil if there is nothing good. A good that wholly lacks an evil aspect is entirely good. Where there is some evil in a thing, its good is defective or defectible. Thus there can be no evil where there is no good.”

And vise versa

^^^ Source? TIA.

•Also:
-At this phase of my life, I find myself
to be in disagreement with the above
philosophical premise. Evil is Evil, IMO.

If you google the quote you’d be surprise to find out it is in fact the same source.

But in agreement if I had the power, Banish Evil.

Since we don’t

“Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.”

Wait...Jim W...you'd banish Bob from this Earth? (J/K).

Oh, the answer's easy - 14oz instead of 16oz ice cream containers. Now, that's evil.

I’m glad this thread isn’t going the way of the Detailing world version.

I’d have to say the people who canceled so many good shows. Watching Police Squad right now and watched Salvage 1 with Andy Griffith earlier.

Don't want to get too far off the OP's post, but....

So last night I stopped at a local ice cream store - Rita's (popular franchise) to get a large soft chocolate cone with sprinkles. $5.35. Ouch, ok, it is what it is, but I noticed the amount of ice cream was less than usual and I asked the young lady "are these cones gettin' smaller" not really expecting an answer, but lo and behold, she said "yes, last year they were 6 "swirls" high, now they are 4. IIRC- and I may be slightly off by a few cents, the price was the same or pretty close to last year's, but the amount has gone down noticeably. Soooo, instead of being upfront and raising the price to cover increased costs/inflation, they do the same sneaky things as the companies with the 14oz containers. Evil.
