So can you just add the car shampoo to the detergent tank or do you attach an additional foam gun on the end and just use it for the pressure? I debate getting one of the AG wash guns, but not sure how they perform without a pressure washer. RIght now I'm just using the Mr. Clean system.

I have had four pressure washers over the years.
Two re-man Karcher electric ones.
One gas (Honda) powered Karcher 4000psi
And last, a Snap On electric one.

The Karcher electric ones lasted about three years each before the pump assembly started leaking. The repair costs would exceed the discounted price of a new one.

The gas unit still runs great and since it has a built in pressure gauge and an adjustable pressure regulator I will use it if I am washing a very dirty or large vehicle.

But I got the Snap On unit at Costco due to the forever warranty. For normal cars it is all I need. It is quite light and since it's electric it requires no maintenance. I use a foam cannon with it and it produces all the suds that I will ever need. I am using DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss and love it! One oz. mixxed with water is enough to blast a smaller car twice.

I like this one. Does it actually weigh 68 Lbs or is that the shipping weight? The 5 year warranty ia a definite plus.

Its correct because its built to last. I have no problem moving it.

Oldmodman,

Do you use that DP wash in the foam cannon hooked to the Power washer, then spay with the rinse setting on the P. Washer?

Thanks everyone for your imput and variuos experiance. I ended up getting the one like Shade Trees , but it has two soap tanks and a swich for either tank or no tank, for $120. Last day of the sale had to buy it.

The question I have is, does it look like I will be able to hook up a foam cannon on this particular gun's nozzle, or will I have to upgrade to a better hose and gun?TM1800 @ Pressure Washers Direct - Your Online TM1800 Superstore!

I soap with the foam cannon. Rinse with fire hose nozzle on garden hose. Then soap again with the cannon before washing the car with a mitt. Then garden hose rinse again. Then final rinse with water filtered water.
I don't want to "blast" the rinse water onto the paint due to worrying about "grit" being blown across the paint. I've got enough swirls without creating more:nomore:

Thanks, for the detailed answer, no pun intended.

It sounds like you have a good routine, that works, I try that too.

Is a firehose nozzle an ajustable sprayer like the nozzles sold in some garden shops?
