I'll be having Xpel installed on a new vehicle. I'll decontaminate with an iron remover. I have 3D Speed or BF AIO to choose from. I have Gyeon prep to wipe down the surface after polishing.

Anything I'm missing?

John shouldn’t they do much of the prep 4 u?
Have you inquired as to what their procedure is?

They will buff for added cost. I'll buff for free.

I could be wrong, but I have Xpel PPF on my car. My installer said I could polish the paint just prior to installation but I should not use all in one products since they leave some protection behind. He said the PPF would bond better to clean bare unprotected paint.

So if what he said was accurate, I’d go for a pure polish instead of an all in one.

Good call.

I have Gyeon Primer. Follow with Prep then.
