Instead of taking an early retirement, which would severely cut my income, my doctor is pushing for a disability retirement, which would give me a better monthly payout than a regular retirement at full term. THAT is the paperwork that is being examined by the Retirement Firm for approval at this time.
 
Don, i'm coming into this thread late but have read every word in every post here.

I am sorry to hear of your travails and wish you a comfortable recovery. Your not only supported by a good women but all of us here.
