PRE-ORDER: Rupes LHR 12E Duetto & LHR 75E Mini Polishers!

Rupes should be selling these machine only ASAP to try and recoup as much R & D as possible. Because, I'm guessing (like the 15 & 21) someone in China is trying to copy the machines as we speak. Once a 3" Chupes comes outta China for $89 - a $300 3" polisher is going to be a hard sell.

An as we've seen in other threads, people love cheap polishers from China. I don't think the Chinese machine will be as smooth or as nice as the Rupes - but I bet it will be as powerful and get the job done.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the Chinese are making a kit as well, complete with a Chupes bag and apron.

EXACTLY!

:iagree:

They already have. Sorry I can't post a link, but search Rupes/China on DW.

Thanks for that. Read all the comments there and found it interesting. I have a question in regards to the current new offerings. I've read about a bad cord for power or it didn't feel right and could be improved on. Also, does or will the Duetto require a washer mod? Curious and can't find any info on these from comments. Thanks

Here's a reliable source regarding the "washer mod" (my Bolding/Bolding):

Great questions guys... I'll do my best to answer both below...

As for how this model compares to the Rupes Bigfoot 15 and 21.

My personal preference is I like and prefer the Porter Cable "design shape" of the Duetto and the Mini. This shape of tool is shorter than the Bigfoot 15 and 21. Personal preference and all that. I'll try to take a picture of the Duetto next to the 15 and 21 today for visual context.

As for using other pads, chemicals or modifying these tools...

Think of me as a Rep for Rupes, a Rep for Mothers, a Rep for Dodo Juice, a Rep for Flex, etc. My job is to share the "brands" we carry in a professional manner and in most cases that means sticking to message, their message and that tends to work out pretty good in the long run for all kinds of reasons.

Individuals can do as they please because they are only held accountable to themselves.

I will tell you this since you ask. I spoke with Marco D'Inca and Andreas, (Rupes Engineers), Francesco, the Marketing & Communications Manager, (in control of the message), Gionata, the Business Development Director, Guido, the President of Rupes, Chip, the US Market Development Manager and Torben the Sales Manager for North Europe, a number of times in our booths plus a couple of closed meetings and not a single one of them suggested or recommended modifying their tools with a washer or in any other manner.

Thanks for asking the question though as it gives me the opportunity to share the official Rupes message.

We like to be accurate, honest as well as helpful and friendly on this forum and questions like the above are a great way to get out the official information from the manufactures of tools and products available on Autogeek.net

I've seen the 15/21 knock offs. I'm talking about they are likely working on a Mini and a Duetto knock off - the Chini and the Chuetto.

Got it and I'm sure you are correct in Chini and Chuetto department. Did you read some of the reviews? They seem to work on par with the Rupes. Ahh I know..a Harbor Freight Special.

So for all of you who have been dying for the single units, if you search around a certain retailer has them, mini for 300 and the duetto for 320, so I guess the price of the kit wasn't so bad afterall haha.

Geez. Going to keep my PC with a three inch BP.

nick from AG said earlier but they will have pre orders soon for this price! i cannot find the link to the post!

Looks like the Rupes Mini (machine) is going to sell for about $299 - the Duetto about 20 bucks more. These kits were supposed to ship "late November" IIR. Anyone get their hands on one yet?

A "no restrictions sale" would bring the Mini down to about $255 (assuming 15%). Assuming free shipping, that's a lot more palatable.

That means you could get the Mini (assuming such a sale) and 6 of the 4" Rupes pads delivered for about $305.

At that price. I'm in. Mebbe.
