Pre-sale preparation on a 98’ Mustang GT Convertible. The owner wanted to clean this car up and make it more presentable for sale. He wanted all areas of the car touched, including the engine and moldy trunk area. No pics of the moldy trunk, but it was definitely a HAZMAT area! Also, our lovely Portland, OR weather was not cooperating in the sunshine department, but the car is still looking really glossy in the after photo.

Services Performed:

Engine degrease and dressing
Convertible top decontamination
Hand wash
AIO paint correction for light surface defect removal and gloss restoration
Interior renewal to decontaminate and dress odors, grime, and dirty nooks and crannies

The car turned out terrific, it presents much better now than when it arrived. No doubt it won’t be for sale for long!

Please enjoy these pictures of the work completed. Comments, questions always appreciated.

Looks great! Love to see late model cars shine. Making a new car look new just isn't as impressive as taking a car from the late 90's and making it look nearly like it rolled off the line!

Shane,

Wow, tremendous turnaround on the top! Interior looks a lot better.
Looks like the AIO utilized cut pretty good and left a good finish as well.

That's a good looking GT for the vintage. (And I'm not a Ford guy.)

Great work for a AIO type job... tremendous value for the client in my opinion.

Questions- if you don't mind...
1.) Subjectively, how was the paint? (Hard? Medium?...)

2.) What AIO did you use?

3.) Miles on car?

Nice work specifically on the top. Like said before, mind sharing the products and technique? Keep up the good work.

Wow! Great turn around! If only people would just keep up with their cars throughout their life, then they wouldn't have to panic with pre-sale detailing... Oh well, I guess it means business for detailers, do I'm all for that :xyxthumbs:

Very nice. What AIO did you use for the correction?
Thanks! OPT GPS was the product used.

Right! No complaints here...

Great job!

Thanks!

Look good, this car will sell better and faster now that you've worked your magic.

In the future, when cleaning a weathered, dirt stained convertible top, if you have a dual action polisher like a porter cable or Cyclo, check this out...
