hello all,
So the weather has warmed up once again here, allowing me to bring out my car for the warm months. Now, I live on a dirt road and just having the car sit in the carport ( no garage) the car will have a thin layer of dust on it an hour after I finish waxing it, and a thick coating in 2 days, even driving down the road, the car starts out black, and by the time I get to the end of the road, it's brown. kinda frustrating.
when I wash the car, I usually spray it with the hose first to try and remove this thick dust. I then proceed to wash it with the 2 bucket method, proper soap, tools etc.. I'm finding though that since it's been out, and I've been washing it, some scratches have appeared. Now, I'm confused by this because I properly wash the vehicle, and dry it properly also.
Could these scratches be because the thick layer of dust that is on the car originally needs a "pre-wash" so to speak with something??
BTW, the car was 90% scratch free when coming out from winter hibernation.

TIA, for opinions and help
