I'm officially hooked. Spent 150 a week on this stuff for the past 2 weeks, the last package i ordered just left the door of AG and i'm already looking for new gear lol... i better get a TV for the garage at this rate.

Anyway. I'm looking into a pre-wax cleaner, but am curious if it is "necessary" between a Klasse AIO and applying PB EX-P Sealer ?

Car 1 will get
Clay
Meguiars #9
Klasse AIO
PB EX-P
one of these (Pinnacle Souveran, Mothers Pure Carnuba or more EX-P)

should a cleaner be used between any of these steps ?

Griot's Garage Pre-Wax Cleaner, prewax paint cleaner, paint prep cleaner is what i was looking at, but i'm open to any brand really.

Most pre-wax cleaners would remove the protection left behind by the AIO. Most AIOs contain cleaners as to not need pre-wax cleaners.

If you use a pre-wax cleaner you will remove what you just applied (Klasse).

You don't have a TV in your garage?

I dont even have the garage yet. Moving at the end of the month (hopefully) to a new house with a 2 car garage ... woot.

Thanks for the input guys. Just saved me a few bucks.

If you've got a wife... keep it up and you will need a bed in there also! lol

Megs #9 and Klasse AIO are kind of redundant but the acrylic sealant properties in Klasse will probably require you keep it in the process; albeit a little wierd (wierd is OK though). The PB EX-P may not get you the best bang for the buck because you would be expecting the sealant to bond to the acrylic in the Klasse. I am not sure that is going to happen. If you are going with Klasse AIO then consider sticking with Klasse for the pure sealant; since they are both acrylic-based. After that, you should be OK with a finishing wax.

What I think you are doing here inadvertently is mixing products that I personally consider belonging to 2 distinct types of details. In my mind, you have some redundancy. Here are 2 basic guidelines I follow and branch off from one of them depending on what I want to accomplish (as well as whatever product mix I want to use or try).

Correction detail --> wash, clay, swirl remover, mid-grade polish (if needed), finishing polish, sealant, wax

Maintenance detail --> wash, clay, AIO, sealant, wax

You would never expect to get 100% correction from a maintenance detail and in general would be a little faster than a full correction detail. You are not breaking any religious boundaries, just a bit of redundancy and potentially a compatibility problem with Klasse and PB.
