Ok. Thanks for all the answers.
People seems to assume I will be present at the event. I won't. The client wants the car preped before the event. I am not sure when that will take place but since he booked for July 7th, I will assume it will be on the 8th and 9th during the week-end.
The car do look similar to a Sirroco. But it's actually an Alpha Romeo
Maybe one inspired the other, or they may have the same designer... who knows?
For the plastic parts, would you guys recommend I use Solution Finish on them? (I am assuming again that the plastic is black, otherwise... not really appropriate).
So I purchased some Carnauba wax locally. Only thing I could find that did not mention it was a cleaner wax or a polymer wax was Meguiar Gold Class paste wax. I also have some Turtle Wax paste from years ago but I really don't want to use that junk.
I watched some Youtube videos about preping for a competition like this, but really the client seemed really budget concious so I don't expect to do anything too crazy time wise. I quoted him for my normal polishing 2 step package, I just hope his paint is not in bad shape so I can focus on the details like the under carriage and wheel wells and all that.
He never mentionned an engine detail. So I will make sure to have a look at the engine with him. My guess is that it is in good shape already. But I will have a long talk with him when inspecting the vehicle.
Thanks for the suggestions regarding the rule book and inspection sheets. I don't know if the client has those but if he does it will make focussing on what is needed easier.
Will take some pictures, and will put the link in here when I add them to my website.
