Prepping for glass and wheel coatings

I have a newer vehicle (2014) , so my wheels and glass are new. I am getting the DP trio of coatings. It says to polish with the DP restorer for the glass coating , but since my glass is new..... Can I just clay and clean it with some glass cleaner? Same for wheels...can I just clay them and clean with some wheel cleaner? Thanks

You can do that but did you happen to pick up the DP prep polish?

That would be your best option. If not you can use IPAD to wipe down the areas you are going to coat prior to installing the coating.

I thought the prep polish was for just paint. I'm not doing the paint.I'm only doing the glass and wheels

Wheel have clear coat just like the paint and yes you can used the prep polish in the glass as well.

You want the surface whether pant wheels or glad to be as clean as possible and that's what the prep polish does.
