After detailing Tim's RX-8, he brought me his mothers Chevy Avalanche. Not only was it in for a full exterior detail, I also had to remove the nearly disintegrated pin striping from the truck. Overall, the truck wasnt in that bad of shape, it was just BIG and dirty! Everything went well until my buffer broke in the middle of the detail! I wanted to get a new one anyways, and heres a good excuse right?? :D

I'm assuming you used a pin stripe eraser. If so what did you think of it? Any danger from heat while using it? Detail looks great.

Great Detail! I have a Cadillac EXT. Big truck to detail too. That Red is Reflecting! BLINGING!

That one shot of the fender with the palm tree reflection would make a great background to a business card. Awesome job!

Yes, I must say a MUST HAVE tool in your collection. You have no idea how much easier this made my life, it is super safe and works very quickly. Although it is made to go on an air tool, I used it with my household drill just fine, but it did go through a few batteries to get all the way around the truck..

Thanks for all the compliments!:buffing:

I totally agree, It's a godsend when dealing with some of those nasty old pin stripes. I've never been much of a pin stripe fan and It makes the job of removing them so much easier.

had a buddy that was in the auto body class take my pin stripe off with a pinstripe eraser but after alot of buffing i still have slight scratches

You probably dont have a good enough polish to remove the scratching, although mine did not leave any scratching...

I dont think these were going to come off with out it, atleast I wasnt going to do it! haha! You would of had to pick off every little mm of it by hand..i doubt the customer wants to pay me my hourly rate to do that!

awesome job once again!!!! the pinstripe removing tool who makes it and where can they be ordered, may come in handy

Thanks! 3m makes the pinstripe eraser, you can get it at most local paint supply stores. ;)
