Presidential Detailed: Blackwood, SN95 COBRA and MORE!

Thanks! For the harsher stuff I got straight for the rotary since I know what it can do, but I have been using the DA a lot now for middle step and some finishing. If you are asking what brand rotary, it is a Makita.

Hey Presidential,
Great work on the Cobra. I have a 2003 Cobra that is Redfire. I recently got all the tools I need to detail the car. I am interested in how you taped up the car.

I see how you taped the black molding, emblems, but I noticed that you taped the seam between the fender and hood, plus the fender and door, and I am wondering why you did that? I know that you don't want product going down there, but how did you work the spots that are now covered in tape?

I also see that you didn't tape the seam between the back of the door and the rear quarter panel, why is that?

Any suggestions on where to tape would be great. I currently have a couple of rolls of 3M Blue is that going to be a problem to use. Looks like you are using some type of green tape.

Thanks,
Don

The green tape is just a slightly lower tack than the blue, but the blue works fine. When you see me tape off say a door/fender line, its usually because I am trying to get a full correction all the way to the edge without burning the adjacent body panel. I generally only do that on cars that need a lot of work, I usually just tape off the emblems and moldings. Good luck!
