I know I know...a pressure washer thread...

I'm reaching out to the fellow detailing businesses to see what type of pressure washer your currently using. I've read through the various threads and have seen the ones that are popular, but want to know what the everyday user is using.

My goal, is to put all the pieces together to be mobile and self sufficient come spring.

So, what are you currently using for your detailing business?

Thanks!

I have a 4000psi/4gpm skid mounted pressure washer with a Kohler engine from envirospec.com. They also have a undercarriage washer that works well. 4000psi is more than you need but more gallons per minute would be good. They also have great chemicals for fleets and cars!

I hate to say this but part of the reason for the skid mount is looks... it just looks more professional and it is easier to mount on a trailer if you go that route. I put mine on one of those garden carts when I need it to be a little more portable. It really gets people's attention when it is skid mounted.

I also have an added pump mounted on the skid and into the chemical injector so I can get the full chemical dose hundreds of feet through the hose (without it the normal pressure washer will not pull any chemicals beyond about 200' if you are lucky).

Keep in mind, I do some pressure washing as well so this might be a little overkill! At the same time, it is a professional setup and costs about the same (at least through EnviroSpec) as it would cost to get a lesser setup elsewhere.

How was that for to much information? Also, you might write to John Allison (the owner of Envirospec) and ask him this same question... tell him David Crockett told you to write. His email: [email protected].

Disclaimer: I don't work for them in any way; I just like the way they treat their customers and their products.

Veterans: One more very important thing, if you are a returning vet who wants to get into pressure washing, let me know. John wants to put 12 vets into business by GIVING them a pressure washer, chemicals and support. I know it's not a trick because he did it for me!

Good Luck - David

No pressure washer. I use a chemical guys Eco pod low pressure system. I use that along with ONR washes.

I've been considering developing my mobile wash system around a low-pressure system like the Mytee Big B.O.S.S. 6002 or the CG POD vs a high-pressure system. How has your LP POD system worked for you?
