Prestige Auto Detailing: 1992 BMW 850I

Well, I was able to do a lil correction on the BMWs Engine today. This was a 1st for me and it came out nice. Better than what the engine looked like before. The engine went from this:

Tomorrow, I'm going to redo the leather seats inside the BMW. Give it a lil more life using Leatherique leather care. :props:

I hope the owner appreciates the great work you did on the engine compartment, excellent results.

Well, here are pictures of the interior. I used some Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil on the leather seats. I used two coats of it since I had limited time. The 850I has over 116k miles on it, which means, no one really has used any leather treatment on it. Well, I used some Optimum on it about a month ago. The leather was just too dry from sitting at their office for a few years.

Well, the back seats look GREAT!!!! Im the MAN

I guess my client can NOW SELL one of his 8 vehicles. Still waiting for a new driver side window to arrive since it went bad. Had to order a window motor for the passenger side about a month ago. Once the new window motor arrives, I can complete the detail on the Jaguar. Engine and Interior have been done. :props:

why are you advising a client to sell a vehicle, isnt that vehicle a source of income for you?

That car can easily sell for 13k, nice job man. v12 pushing about 300hp right? Probably a really fun car to just cruise in, very nostalgic i guess.

My client has 7, or 8, vehicles between himself and his wife. He never drives some of those vehicles and it's costing him a good amount of money to keep them. Also, they would like to free up some of thier space. Most of the vehicles remain at their company. The '89 Jaguar XJS Convertible REALLY eats his wallet. The Jag has 14.5k miles on it and since it's an ENGLISH MADE Jag, nothing likes to work well since it's all electronical problems.

My client does keep me busy with their vehicles. Trust me. :xyxthumbs:

That is what I'm trying to figure out a selling price. I think I'm going to start @ $15k. Down here, in Deep South Texas, I do not think there are any 850Is around. I have spent a good amount of time getting most everything corrected on the BMW. There will be a classic car show around the 3rd of April in downtown (well, the world true CLASSIC does not exist here. lol) and you will see very very few well maintained vehicles. The OTHER CLASSICS are bondo want to be's that look really bad. The world down in Deep South Texas is a really different world. lol

Excellent work Stephen!!! On the after pic's of the BMW, is that paint or powder coating? Nice work!!! Good Luck on the sale.

Engine Paint. I still want to do a few more things to it. I will have to visit a vinyl shop to have them redue some of the inside pillars. I also need to take all 4 wheels off and repaint the wheel wells.... Black of course. Im the MAN

Well, I have yet to take the BMW back to my client. I did, however, e-mailed him a picture of the full view of the engine. He texted me back saying, "Yes. Indeed looks AWESOME!!"

I guess he liked it. Im the MAN

Thanks Sparkie. Did you ever look for those items I PMd you?

Well, I removed all the wheels/rims today, one by one of course, and cleaned all of the wheel wells. Man, it makes the BMW look much better and sleek. I was not able to take any before/after pictures of the work since a front was about to arrive. In fact, right when I finished the last wheel, the cold front hit with very fast winds, nothing new down here, and some rain.

On Sunday, I will go back and complete the inside of the BMW by adding some more Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil to the leather seats. I've had a few people working on some interior work on it this week, so, I need to add a little more to keep them nice and smooth. Not dry.

Well, it looks like these two vehicles will be transported down into Monterrey, Mexico in the near future. I guess I did one heck of a detail job since the Jaguar XJS Convertible is a very hard vehicle to sell. As is the BMW 850I.
