Prestige Auto Detailing: 1999 Honda Accord

Do you use heated water on your engine detail after spraying the Amazing Roll-off on it?

No. No heated water. On certain parts of the engine bay, I use full force with the HPW. Mine puts out 1800PSI

Do you need to dry the engine completely before applying the Stoners More shine or can it be applied while still wet.

Nope. After I use the pressure washer, I start it to make sure everything is fine, After that, I turn off the engine and spray it down with the Stoners product, then, I start it back up for several minutes. After it runs for several minutes, I can then wipe down any excess spray off the engine.

Here are 3 other pictures I took of the interior. I took them after I posted the other ones. New seatbelt on the Driver Side. Just think of all that gunk I had to get off the rest of those. yuck.

Well, the owners son has not even picked up the Honda yet. His father passed away today. The family and everyone knew he was to have passed away at any time.

Ok start off wit hthe engine APC 4:1 or Groit Garage Engine Cleaner. Let it sit for a while then brush problem areas. Then use your compressor to blow down the engine then dry with towel. Use your favorite dressing

The interior vaccuum the whole interior then go back and blow down everything with your compressor. Now go back and vaccuum everything again. I would use APC 10:1 or A Groit Garage interior cleaner on everything besided the leather seat. Clean and Condition leather then dress the rest of the interior.

Dam I wish I would of went throught the thread i didnt notice you did the car already. It looks great. Good job

Well, I have not spoken to the owners son in about two weeks so, I do not know how he feels about the Honda. I know if he did not like it, he would have advised me. Also, since I did that detail job, I've added more toys to my collection. I know the new stuff would make that Honda's interior look MUCH BETTER than what it did.

One of my toys, that will arrive next week, will be a STEAMER!!!!!!! :dblthumb2: The Tornado, how ever you spell that one, arrived the day before I drove away from the Valley last week. I happened to take it on the road trip with me and that item ROCKS!!!! It works very very well.

Which model from Tornado did you get? How much and from where? I am in the market. Im the MAN

That turned out great! Nice to see that you went through the trouble of carpet removal to get it clean. Sometimes that's all you can do.

I must say, if you haven't tried DP Total Interior Cleaner - I tackled a car not much less than that one and it was amazing. Cleaned the carpet and mats with it and everything. It replaced my APC+ on the interior.

was going to use your engine detailing method, but my local autoparts store, stopped carrying stoners unfortunately, are there any other tire foams that will work just as good ?

Glad ya found some. Was it nice and easy to use after you washed the engine? he he :props:

yea, I cleaned the engine with Honda Brite and then hit it with the Stoners. Very easy.

As far as that interior is concerned, I would gut the whole thing. Pull the seats, all the trim, vents etc....depending on how that carpet is laid in there, I would remove that too and then re-install it. Interiors is one of my favorit things to do because when a customer presents you with an interior like that one, they usually have given up believing it can ever be nice again. I can't wait to see how that comes out. Good luck.

OK, I just pulled a newbie mistake and didnt read the whole entire thread before I posted. Great job, very impressive. To bad the circumstances surrounding the car could not have been different.
