Prestige Auto Detailing: 2002 Lexus SC 430 - Neiman Marcus

Well, I did the interior today. Just did not have a chance to take any pics. The mats are still wet and will spend another night inside the garage. Tomorrow, I plan on starting the exterior all over again. I did not like how a section or two turned out well over a week ago.

Okay. Today I was not a happy camper working on the exterior of the SC 430. Can you say it’s pollen time? Ugh…. Anyways…. I washed the Lexus early this morning with some Dawn. After that, I compounded it with Megs 105 and Yellow Pad. After that, I used Megs 205 with Purple Wool Pad. I then used a final with Max Wax. The Lexus just did not look right after I detailed the exterior the 1st time. It looks a lot better now!!

My client really needs to buy 4 new rims for this vehicle. No one can repair them. I've contact many different companies about it.

Since Pollen was everywhere AS WELL AS people cutting down brush, today was a PITA finishing this Lexus. That is why I did not ever try to finish off the floor mats. The mats are clean though. He He..... I wanted to take pics with the top down but...... I did not wish to mess with the spring time weather mess that has started down here.

Well, thanks to Jacob (jlb85), he advised me the leather stuff he uses. Tell ya what, that stuff works wonders. It’s not cheap though, FYI. It’s the “Leatherique” Leather treatment. That product really gave life to the read leather in the coupe.

Wonderful job on the interior. What did you end up using to avoid the dreaded "RED FADE"

It looks better than new.

But your customer may be correct about the wheels. I have spent an entire day prepping and painting some steel wheels on an older car. They looked like new! And nobody noticed them at all. I was so disappointed.

My clinet does not think he needs to do anything with the current wheels. He thinks it will sell without any problem for a price over $25k. I'm like, uh, NO!!!!!! Those rims a CHROME!!!!! No company can correct them since there are so many different peaces to each rim. Also, he needs to take the Lexus up to San Antonio, TX to the Lexus dealership. The audio system in his Lexus is not connected properly. No car audio shop can work on the audio system in the Lexus. I've already tried that one as well.

"IF" he had the correct, non damaged, rims and a fuctioning audio system, that Lexus could bring in some nice money. Now, catch this one. He texted me back yesterday and said if he liked what I did to it, he will turn down an offer from someone, who is interested IN BUYING the SC 430, and will drive it for a while.

ugh. LOL That is why, he and his wife, have 7 vehicles between the two.

1992 BMW 850I
1989 Jaguar XJS Convertable
2002 Lexus SC 430
2008 Mercedes Benz GL 550
2010 Lexus 460 Sport
2010 Lexus IS C (replacement of the SC 430)
2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT AWD

I think they need fewer vehicles. LOL The Lexus is still in front of our house with rain all over it since a cold front arrived here after 11PM last night. Not sure why he did not contact me to get it before the front came in like he wanted.

Well, this Lexus has also been sold this week, BUT, to a different buyer. This vehicle will remain down here in the Rio Grande Valley.
