So we opened our shop 2 months ago, my partner does Window Tinting, and I do the Detailing. He's been busy but I'm still slow with winter, in PA. So of course I'm giving quick pricing without thinking. Today had a Kia minivan for Scratch Repair on hood, (wet-sanding & Polishing) Full Interior detail and buffing (specified just a light buffing) she has 6 foster children so inside was horrific. I charged 375.00 took me 6 hours, and materials. Fair price. You mentioned your partner is doing good with tinting. Do you know how to tint? If you don't, trying learning that way you can make some extra cash when detailing is slow.

Good job on the minivan.

Thank you everyone, and i think I'm gonna have to start learning tinting also, at least by next winter. Hopefully busy season is around the corner

Great one, nice to see you're doing good.

In my country (specifically the region I live) we charge this value for 3 step polish, full detail (ext / int) and coating application!

If I'm to give you a suggestion, that'll be to polish glass clean and apply glass coating as an add on to the tinting.

I mean, the glass will come out fully treated, inside and out.

I'm using Pinnacle's glasswork water spot remover, followed by PBL cleansing polish and PBL glass coating.

PBL glass coating gives you an estimated duration of 18 months, so you can easily give at least 6 month warranty which is higher than any standard product for water repellence on glass yet way bellow total estimated duration. That means your clients will be happier when they realize your work goes way beyond expectations.

I always receive compliments from customers when I apply glass coating, so I believe you can think about doing it for extra cash while offering clients better visibility and security while driving, majorly in the rain.

Thanks for sharing,

Wish you good luck!

Kind Regards.

You sure gave her a great job. Especially for what she was charged.

Here in Los Angeles she would have gotten a much poorer job for appx $500.00

The job that you did with spot sanding, compounding, polishing, interior and surface treatments would be more in the neighborhood of $750.00

Thank you everyone, im gonna use your idea in glass treatment, and i did the seats with zep carpet shapmoo, and vx 5000 steamer

Sorry were in croydon pa, its a suburb of Philadelphia
