Pricing

I went hourly on my stuff a while ago, and can guess how long it takes for the customer. That helps them set a budget, and you can control your income better.

I usually say...this service takes probably 3-4 hours at $60-75 per, and if they say they only want to spend "XX", I can work within that budget (not everything gets the same level of clean.)

FWIW, I recently did a full correction on a 28' sailboat that cost the customer $1600, and that was with some free hours on my part.

I like the utility helpers belt nice idea and video hope to see another video with belt in use with products and or equipment

I think that depends on your area. We wouldn't be able to charge hourly, which right now is set around $30. It would chase customers away here

Same here it may be good to have mid to high prices or hourly rates posted or in print but present ads, discount cards or coupons on a regular so customers may known that they should be really be paying more for the quality of service they are receiving.
Example here in Philadelphia so many small shops and a whole new crop of mobile detailers are now popping up all offering services (WASH) for $10.00. So everyone thinks they can go any place in city and pay around $10.00. I post in print and online what I do and start at $35.00 which most people frown upon my rates but I print a discount card say for $20.00 off with this card and they accept at times but card is dated to expire in a certain time frame I list my hourly rate at $35.00. once I get a customer in I explain my process show equipment and products and explain how I give them a deal when my shampoo cost more than what they are paying for and how my products are superior to what the other guy uses and that is why I should be paid what I ask as a lone operator rather than a crew running around detailing their vehicle.
