My only question for you is why no paint correction packages?

How long does it take you to complete this package? Is this just the outside windows and do you also clean the wheel wells?

On the exterior, are you doing any decontamination? Nano skin or clay? If so I would add a bit for that step. like 20 or 25. That is extra time and labor. (especially on a full size SUV or quad cab truck They can eat your lunch if you are not careful) But if you are going right to wax,,If you are doing spray wax,, for paste / liquid cream wax I would offer a up-sale,, then I'dd say you are pretty good.

Looks good! just wondering why do you charge more on a truck then a SUV only reason why I ask is it seems likes a SUV has more panels then a truck?

If claying/nano skin is involved, there should be AT LEAST a 1-Step paint correction such as an AIO. Claying/Nano Skin will leave marring on the paint and that can be countermeasured with the AIO.

I think this depends on the clay/nanoskin you are using (medium or fine) if I use medium I usually have to but if you use good wash techniques (i use foam gun, MF mitt, bucket w/GG, and a pressure waher) you could go strait to wax after clay and it shoukd have minnimal if any marring caused by the wash and clay. It may be good practice to AIO it but you don't have to.

Be really careful quoting interior work without looking at it. People will work you to death on an interior for next to nothing. "Complete Interior" is way underpriced.

:iagree::poke::iagree:

One of my doctors asked us to do his wife's Lexus LX470 for Mothers Day last year. He didn't want much done to the exterior, but said he wanted the interior "cleaned up". We went to pick it up and OMG!!!! Looked like they'd been pouring soft drinks out in the carpet, even shaking them up and opening them with spots all over the headliner! :eek:

We spent, (the two of us) over 7 hours (14+ man hours) JUST ON THE INTERIOR! Then did a quick AIO on the exterior with sealant. Managed to get out with about 19 hours in it.

Interior work isn't even on my web site for this exact reason. I make them ask me. Yes, I've lost some big paint correction jobs because I will not work on interiors like this. And that's okay!

SUV and TRUCK are such vague terms. is it a quad cab or a mid size? most the suv's are mid sized explorer crosstrek. I put suburban /Taho in large truck. I live in Texas,, and probably guessing 3out of 5 ppl have quad cabs and excursions. priceing is by size and condition. lots of ranches around here and the people love country caddies as I call teh big freaking trucks,, on a single cab f 150 I may go a bit less,,, just depends.

Yeah, I hear ya'......:rolleyes:
OTOH, that job ended up right at $30/hr so it wasn't that bad. At least that big Lexus had a room to move in the darned thing! :props:

But yeah, I have several different exterior options, but straight up interior work I just don't go after. If they want it, then fine, but it's a TON of work in a TIGHT confined space that needs to pay well for anyone to enjoy, (or even tolerate) it. ;)

Had the local GMC/Chevy/Buick dealership send me a brand new Buick last year where the guy had just had some sort of gastric procedure done, was driving home after drinking a crap load of "contrast". He had MASSIVE projectile vomiting that literally was inside the steering column, inside the dash, the vents, you name it. I didn't even go inside the vehicle!!!!! (His girlfriend had already tried to clean up what she could get to.)

Told him I'd start at $2500 and go up from there.

Told him he needed to call his insurance company, get a hazmat team, and maybe, just MAYBE they'd not total it out. But either way the entire dash, steering column (and wheel), A/C vents, console, seats, carpet, everything.... all had to be removed. He did, they did, tore everything apart and then some.

All said and done.... I was right, it was a total loss!:eek:

Agreed, be sure to put all your prices as starting prices, especially on interiors lol, some can be pretty disgusting. And never put complete.. That gives the client the perspective that they're getting everything cleaned, which removes the opportunity to upsell
