I dont have any "pad primer spray" so I usually spray a generous amount of QD on the pad and spin the rotary on high to fling off the excess. Some times i use water instead of QD. I was just wondering if anyone has any other techniques? I find foam pads difficult to work with when the pads are not ready!

I also use QD, I'm curious to know what other people are using. Good question.

I use product.....i put a ring around the pad with product and than work it into the pad with my fingers (that's primed) and than i put my working ring around the pad and go to town....i sometimes spray some s+w on the panel that im working on to get a greater working time with the product but never on the pad in the beginning.....just my .02 cents

Product initially and then H2O. I've read that QD is adding extra lubrication to the cutting abrasives, but ???.

Do not use QD, use the product itself and if you feel you need to prime your pad with something other than the product itself use a spritz of water.

I have a spray bottle filled with water. I use, during my details to cut back on dusting.
I spray the pad before first use, then spritz as I go..

I usually prime the pad with my product, then spritz as needed with my IPA / Distilled Water solution....

I am! I've been using the XMT Pad Conditioner. It works great and it never seems that the bottle is being used up no matter how many times i use it. lol. Same thing goes for the pad cleaner. But i agree that water would be the next best method. Never used QD.
Agree totally.
Pick up some of the XMT Cleaner and Conditioner, it works well.
