I've thought about foaming small sections of the car, and using that as the lube for claying. Of course, I would wash the car first, then do this.

lol yeah I've had clay lubes and qd that do that as well ^
Personally I recommend to stick with a dedicated lube, for example Luber, I have only heard great things of it , atm I am still using the mothers and megs qd I have.
CG Luber is my lube of choice, and it can be cut 1:1
