Problem, buffer trails with XMT#1 and PC

Is this the same lystic red Saleen that you were in the paper for because it looked so good at the show? From the pics posted in that thread the car looked awesome. Was the owner not wearing his polarized glasses at the show and didn't see it until later. You also said in the other post that the car couldn't get wet and had 3000 miles on it and you say here that it had never been detailed. Sounds to me that the owner of a $50,000 paint job would have had it detailed before with that kind of miles on it.

What in the heck is a "buffer trail"? I've never heard of this.
Buffer trails are "trails" or "paths" where you can see where the buffer has gone
here is a bad pic:

you can sort of see where the buffer went. This is a really bad example. I think it is usually caused by a rotary buffer w/ aggressive polishes that are not worked in enough, or very aggressive pads

Wolfpacker- it is the same lystic red Saleen, lystic red Saleens dont just line up at my door;) I guess he did not notice it at the show, or he didnt want to tell me? Dont know.
The car was just just QDed, but he might have waxed it a little I think.
But in any case a machine has never touched the car, besides me, and when it left the factory.

Which is it? Did you detail this Saleen before or not? Could you please clayify this? You're saying that you're the only person to detail this car right? Once in June and now again in August. What year is this car and why has it never been detailed before but now it's detailed twice in 8 weeks? How is that possible?

"No it wasnt there before i did the car, because the car was never detailed. The owners son(my friend) says that the marks are still there, i told him that i would stop by tuesday and check them out. Its not the owner being a penny picker, if he wanted the money back all he would have to do is ask and i would give it back to him no questions asked. Hes a pretty cool guy anyway. I am still at a loss, but i cant just tell him i dont know what happened. The car looked fine in the sun... well no not fine it still had swirls, the XMT1 didnt take them out, but i saw no buffer trails. Its got to be something, but what:mad:!!!!! How could this happen, this is going to ruin my rep:mad: !!!!!!!!!!! I would be more than happy to fix it but I dont even think he will trust me anymore, dispite the awsome job i did on his sons black NSX wing.
