Problem...HELP? I dont think this is right?

Man talk about a bummer, nothing worse then things braking down on the first time use. Very informative topic though. Keep us posted on how things work out for you.

contact the seller and explain to him about it....I do not know where you got it from....he should replace it....also PC will have you send it to a repair shop and have it evaluated and repaired.....

getting your money back I can not say..I do not know the sellers policies....PC will just replace it....make sure you have your reciepts and warranty card also...

i have everything that was sent to me...including the email of my oder...so i think i have everything i need...
 
then contact the seller and explain to him and tell him what you want to do....and go from there

PC's do get warm with use, but transfer little heat. Never smoked, sounds like a replacement is in order. As with most mass produced items, a lemon is an occurence that can happen, dont give up just yet !
 
Well, now that i will have to wait atleast one more week b4 i can get at it...i guess now would be a perfect time to truly understand the PC...

I have watched the movies but i guess movies only go so far...so i would like fellow detailers advise and suggestions...

Lets begin by talking about pressure on the PC and when it is needed and not...how about we break this up into pad selection and compounds/polishies being used...
 
I got my pc last 5/22/07 from AG. When I first tried it with a 6.5" ccs white pad the pc I could not put and pressure on it or it would stall. I tried different speeds and had the same issue. It started to get very hot-- so hot I could not hold it any longer. I shut it off and tried later and it started to work fine. Don't know what happened, but it is working fine now.
 
today i got in contact with the company that i purchased my PC from...all is good...they will be emailing me a return sticker to put onto the box...then all i have to do it drop it off at the local UPS store...they are currently waiting for a shipment of PC's so i will have to wait about a week and a half or so...but when they arrive they will be sending me out a new one that very same day or the next day!
 
ok so today i got the NEW PC so i will be using it sometime this week...i think after talking with everyone...i will just allow the machine to do what it can under its own pressure and i will slowly begin to put pressure on it when i become more comfortable...this should be ok right?
 
PUT THE WASHER IN IT LOL!!!!
EDIT: mine did the same thing until it saw the little washer in the bag that came with it. now it works perfectly.
