Problem with Mother's Wheel and Tire foam?

I used Mother's Tire and Wheel foam and this is what I ended up with. It is on all four wheels I can't seem to get it off. Any ideas? It is a white haze of some sort.

I followed directions to a T and the wheels were not hot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are a set of OEM 18s on an '09 Acura TL SH-AWD. They are painted and clear coated.

The same thing happened to me on my clear coated Toyota wheels. Applied to a wet wheel and didn't let it dwell for longer than a minute. The funny thing is half the car has etched wheels and the other half seems un-affected. Hmmm.......

Were you able to clean it off?

Is it just one spoke on each rim? Have you tried any product (plastic polish or a cleaner wax) on the area? Did you purchase the Acura new?

Not completely. I have improved them some with M205 by hand on the affected areas. It's really only noticable under certain lighting. I've been wheel shopping lately so it's not bothering me too much.
 
This sort of effect is something not uncommon with overly strong cleaners on some wheels. I am trying to interpret the MSDS and it does not look although this product would have such a risk but there does seem to be discrepancy between the listed components in the composition and those listed in the toxicity sections so not certain what else might be in there.

Have you tried a bit of panel wipe?
 
OT: As I started reading this thread, my first thought was, "Forest will be along soon." Lo and behold, up he pops.

I had pretty much the same happen to a set of freshly Alu Metallic painted (Duplicolor Rattle Can) Hubcaps on my Kia Spectra, which did have two fresh coats of WGDGPS 3.0 on them.

A quite nasty stripping, and splotchy discoloration of the paint, and I ruined a lot of hard work on what were previous to this cleaning.

I blame myself, more than blaming the product, I evidently had a temporary mental lapse, as these Hubcaps would've come perfectly clean lickety split with any mild car Shampoo, and not risked the damage this cleaner had done.

True and I likely could have, too, but the product said it worked on painted, clear coated surfaces, so I thought it would be ok.

Forrest, I received the box of stuff this week. Props to you and Mothers for trying to make good on the situation. I have yet to try to clean the wheels, but will report back here when I do.

I was amazed at all the stuff you sent...thanks so much. If everything works out here, and the products work well, I will be a Mothers customer for live.
 
Take them off the car and try to correct them with polish via machine. I had it happen on a set of Tundra wheels. Took them off polishing took it out. It was not Mothers wheel cleaner.
 
The OP's rims were refinished as part of a Certified Pre-Owned program. Unfortunately the finish wasn't as durable as the OE finish was.

We sent him some products which should help maintain them.
