Problems with Nissan service and my cars appearance

By "front cowling" I was referring to the area directly in front of the hood. Some cars, (including my truck) do not have this. I was just mentioning anything that came to mind when I posted. Protect everything you can think of, and then some. Just good, sound customer service.

As for a section on the forum, no. There are PPF's (paint protection films) etc. that many use, but no dedicated section to prevent careless A-holes that work at a crap dealership.

I'm thinking bringing in with me my own fender mats, some sort of side door guard, along with the painters tape that was suggested next time, i will have to have my car protected like its going into battle, this is really a shame. I been googling on this subject for the last half hour, not much on the subject. I think a section should be opened up on this site specifically for this problem. Thanks for the response.

I live in a smaller community, and I think there are only the 2 Chrysler dealerships in the county. So on the second one I guess I got lucky. Plus I think its the owners. The bad dealership is owned by a guy who is about 29 years old, his parents bought it for him to "help him get a start in life". He has no clue what to do or how to handle things. My go to dealership now is owned by a guy with 20+ years in the business and bought the dealership when the previous owner wanted to retire. He knows the value of great customer service, and knows a great reputation in smaller communities with help you thrive.

Are there any clear coat applications that will withstand mechanic carelessness, just wondering? I would not mind investing a few hundred in a product like that!

Right on the money. Out here on the tip of LI, there is only one Chrysler dealer. Started in the late '30's, and owned by the same family. (Google Mullen Motors. Southold, NY)

5-Star dealer awards abound for decades. They are phenomenal. Worked there in the '80's when I was still learning the mechanical basics.

Anyway, 80 or so years in the game, and they know the deal when it comes to customer service.
