product for black trim

OP, I love both the UTTG/WG option as well as PERL. You asked for something with a bit of gloss. That would be PERL which can be controlled to give more gloss if you want. The UTTG/WG is not water based and so will likely last longer but PERL is no slouch.

PERL Coat from CarPro is another. Check out the reviews.

Here's the review http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/40314-review-carpro-perl.html

The new Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant works really well and so does the Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus.

I agree! They are almost the same product but Ultima TTG is noticeable cheaper. Check out my wolfgang review which also shows Ultima. Don't miss the cost comparison analysis in one of my latter updates of the review.

And another decent product the Meguiars Ultimate Protectant

I've had great results with a product called Renew Protect...comes with black, gloz and satin. Wipe the area down with denatured alcohol first to prep the surface. Price well too.
