I was looking at the orbital polishers like the LHR15 Mark II and it seems like it is listed 5 different times with a number of sub packages/ combos which is really confusing. The machine I am looking for is the LHR15 Mark II with the 25ft heavy duty cord and maybe some light polishing pads and wax application pads. A carrying bag/case would be a bonus, but I don't need 25 different pads and 30 bottles of different rupes polishing creams or an apron. I have more than enough polishing creams and waxes to last 5 years. :-)

Which listing should I be looking at? and when are specials run on the polishers?

Rupes BigFoot LHR15 MarkII

You have an option to chose the HD version where you press ad to cart button. Then order the pads you want separate. The Rupes yellow foam pad is an awesome light polishing pad that is a must to try out. Then you have options from both Lake Country and Buff & Shine that are made for longthrow polishers. And the GG BOSS pads are for them too.

Polishers are almost always excluded from the discount sales.

I believe AG will price match competitors prices.

Since Rupes are never discounted or included in sales, best way to get once at a discounted price is to wait for the rare discounted gift certificate sales and then use a discounted gift certificate to purchase the Rupes. Usually see discounted gift cert sales 3 or 4 times a year, usually starting around Black Friday and occasionally happen thru the holidays. Gotta sign up for mailing list and watch closely, they usually come and go withing 24hrs.

As for the packages of polisher, pads and compounds/polishes, when I was plotting the Rupes purchase, I always went for pad-centric kits like this: Rupes LHR 15 MarkII 6 Inch Pad Kit FREE BONUS FREE SHIPPING!

You're always gonna need pads but polishes/compounds are easy to obtain based on your individual preferences.
