Product Review: Chemical Guys Blacklight/V07 Combo

Scooter, that's more of a system than a combo, LOL! Seems like this is a product you rub on first and top with a spray for ease of use. My combo like this goes from applying the product, letting it sit for an hour and then using my spray to remove/add but is not the BL/V7 combo.

Ha, I hear ya Klasse!
Well, finally tried it last night. I just did a a good wash with Citrus wash/gloss to help remove old stuff.

Didn't have time to go machine application, but...
one coat of BL by hand, easy enough. Then the V7 really impressed me.
Per looks, I certainly think I'll top with a wax before v7 next time, as well as trying one machine app. of Bl followed by hand.
On my new black Colorado truck...it looks good, but I'm not seeing the pop I thought I would. Last time I had Moose glaze, Souveran, WG spritz sealant, much wetter.
Again, I like working with the V7, I know it can't be cut with water, but wondering about mixing with a cheaper QD such as spray and gloss perhaps?
I am in no way discounting this combo at all btw. I am awaiting to try it by machine as an AIO/light swirl product and see what results I get.

Surprised this combo didn't "pop", seems to be a popular combo, maybe its like DG products....improve over time, they do for me, LOL!

I've used this combination on Black Mercedes paint many times the finished product is amazing. Great protection I've heard from the customers! Love chemical guys just too expensive to order and shipping!

Brads auto detail

hey guys, i'm gonna use this combo tomorrow on my wifes 328i.. a few weeks ago i did XMT 360 and Dp max wax... do i need to strip what is left of these products off?? or will the minor abrasives in BL do it for me????

The minor abrasives should do the trick. I have used this combo on many bmw's of various colors. GREAT results. If you want a little more, I suggest topping it with a good carnauba paste. This is my favorite quick go to setup.

OK, truck sitting in garage still going on two days after applying. The looks for some reason seem to be improving, great!
One thing I did was only use the V7 on the roof to see how well it performs and protects, as I hate waxing/sealing on the roof of trucks for some reason, unless it's a total full new detail.

Wow, I am super impressed with Blacklight. My black infiniti g35 has medium to minor swirls. Using a PC with blacklight will correct enough to please my eyes.

Black finishing pads are best for application?

Black is what I use. Just remember to use light pressure, speed 3.5-4, and just a touch slower hand speed than the typical wax process. I usually will do the blacklight topped with the paste wax of your choice. Should produce stellar results on infiniti black.

Thanks for the tip! I have a tub of souveran paste wax from autogeek's bogo a couple of years ago =D
