Product Review: Lake Country Ultra Fiber Microfiber Pad

Sorry if this as been answered before, but on a Flex 3401:
Are the DA discs better to use or the Rotary pads? The 3401 has forced rotation like a rotary but is a DA in it's motion. Does anyone have experience with this?

^^ What he said. Rotary for the the Flex 3401????

Bringing this thread back cause I have the same concern. I mainly use the 3401 and just recently bought 6.25 in. da pads but never thought that the rotary pads might be better/safer? Thanks in advance for the help!

Guys, microfiber does not play with the forced rotation nature of the 3401. You are much better off with an aggressive foam pad or wool. The wool plays much nicer with the Flex.

I appreciate the feedback Mike. Any suggestions as far as wool? I've actually been looking at the HD wool pads. Just got hd cut and hd polish and am extremely impressed so I thought I'd maybe order a couple of their wool pads to compliment the products even more. Any thoughts/experience with these?

Sure thing.

I don't have any experience with HD products so I can't comment on their use.

I have used LC purple wool and the work great. More specifically the hybrid wool pads. Coupled with Menzerna FG400 this will remove defects in a hurry.

So by wool working better with flex are you saying if I used a 6" standard wool pad that you would use on a rotary with a smaller backing plate can cut better then microfiber?

IME, a wool pad on a 3401 will out cut microfiber on a DA. Of course wool and rotary is still king.
