what does everyone use to store their detailing products? I've read on the back of some bottles it says not to freeze them. Are there certain shelves/cabinets that are best for all these fine detailing products we use??

maybe help me choose, let me know where you got them from :Picture:

thanks in advance :) :D

I might be a little crazy, but i bring all my waxes, polishes and sealants inside so they don't get too hot or cold. All my other chemicals i keep in my garage in storage units.

lol yup, I'm doing that also. I keep everything inside and take it out to the garage as I need it then back in it goes. Thing is, all my stuff takes up lots of room.

I leave them out on the shelve in a hot Florida garage ... call me a renegade !

Indoors, in plastic sealable storage bins from Target/etc. One large bin is for the 7424, pads, polishes/waxes/sealants. Another is for washing: soap, drying towels, mitts and hardware. Another for interior detailing, and yet another for tire gels and clays.

Meanwhile, a growing collection of microfiber towels and applicators has begun to take over the rest of the room.....

All my products are in those plastic storage bins, the stackable ones with draws. They stay in the garage, every once in a while I will go out there and give a good shake to the products.

i'm not so much worried about heat, but the cold. I don't want all my products to freeze and be ruined. hmm. maybe bring them in during the winter

Most of my cleaning products and tools are in plastic storage in the garage. The boutique waxes, etc come inside. The MF's are inside too but not for long if I don't come up with creative negotiations with the wife.
Many here in colder climates bring their stuff in for the winter.

Storage Temperature (Product):
1. Car care products should not be stored at temperatures below 35 - 40oF, if they freeze they will become unstable and therefore unusable, ideal storage temperature range- 50- 75oF with an average humidity range. Most car care products have a ‘useful life’ of approximately 2-3 years provided they are stored as above. Do not store at temperature extremes (i.e. very hot or cold) and avoid extreme temperature swings as the chemicals will become unstable. Most car care products will separate and are no longer usable after being subjected to freezing temperatures

2. Carnauba wax storage-a refrigerator will provide a cooler temperatures and a more consistent humidity that will slow the evaporation of solvents from the wax, thus keeping the wax softer and easier to use over a longer period of time. Most waxes have an unlimited ‘useful life’ provided they are sealed in their original container and stored as per the recommendations above.

Thank you for this very usefull information. Lesson learned !!!

I store all my polishes, sealants, waxes and other detailing liquids in our laundry room in a top cabinet.

All pads, towels, mitts and brushes are stored in the plastic bin type storage racks on small wheels in the garage.

I just purchased a Makita and now have additional pads. I have started to look for a larger storage cabinet and more important a place to fit it in the garage. I really need a garage makeover. ;)

My garage is heeted and cooled. I store all of my supplies in there.
