I'll send you some Turtle Wax and you send me some of that crappy wax you guys sell.. I think it is called Souveran. It must not even be good, not a real word and it isn't English... Just send me 2194703829734209 jars. k Thanks

I've always enjoyed reading Auto Express as their reviews are quite good and seeminly unbiased. But when I read something like this, it really discredits the magazine. Who on earth would give Turtle Wax the highest rankings???

I lived in the UK for many many years and it's all relative. Sure, things cost more money there but then again, people make a lot more money too to make up for that!

Consumer reports says that Black Magic is the best synthetic wax you can muy at local AutoChains. I never tried it, as I don't like Black Magic. I think it is far away form being the best. Meguiar's NXT or Mothers FX synwax - I would believe. But not Black magic or Turtle wax.

Hello...few words about polish polishing and waxing

Yes, life in U.K. is not cheap.
Well this is my first post in here so few words about me. My nick is as above, I'm 34. I drive 4 months old, metallic dark gray Ford Fusion (european version). I live in Poland.
I've been reading this forum for three weeks and looking jealous at your shining cars.

You're laughing at european opinions of Turtle wax and things like that but you don't even realize that some people don't have any other choice.
In my country Turtle wax isn't the cheapest one. More! Some people can't afford it!
Let me explain you why. The official price of TWax is about 10$. Is it cheap? You surely say it is but you have to know that 75% of us earns 350$/month. So...is the TWax cheap? I don't think so!
Want more? Your're welcome
The best products i can buy are the things from Meguiar's (Pinnacle, Wolfgang, P21's ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN WHOLE COUNTRY!!) Lucky me, coz my salary is almost 3 times bigger than 350$ so i can buy Meg's stuff but there's one problem.
For example: Meg's Gold Class Car Wax costs 74.9 PLN (25$) while in US the same product costs 11,90$. What a difference! So i try to buy few Meg's products via internet on american website...and what? I'm not allowed because Meguiar's.com is only for american! I can buy only on polish website. Is it fair? I don't think so but i decided not to give up and soon you saw first picture of european Ford Fusion detailed with Meg's products.

Same in Norway, turtewax is not cheap. high price doesnt mean quality anyway. Therefore i buy all my detailing stuff at Autogeek, her you CAN buy Meguiars online if you want and as much as you like, same with the other brands that gets talked about here at the forum.

I also have the same problem regarding price on products here in Norway, but when i hear what u guys in Poland earn a month, i relly feel that i dont have anything to nag about. But what costs 20 usd in the US, same produkt costs 100 usd in Norway.

So i BUY my stuff at AutoGeek............

Everything is relative!

It is a good reminder to those of us Americans who can easily afford to spend money on this car stuff - which in all reality is total nonsense given how some in our own country don't have food or shelter -how fortunate we are. Never mind our collection of vehicles...

Every day I look at my vette and go, "Is that really mine?" Hasn't worn off yet.
I had a broken down K-car - for those of you thirty-somethings, you know what that is...... when I started driving
for the rest of you, it was a junker clunker -everything broke each month no matter how you babied it or how little you drove it - a tan, oxidized, messy Reliant K from Plymouth.
Friends don't let friends buy Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler.

It is also another reminder why we are not so popular in the world.
Lauren
God Bless the UK, Poland, and the US of A!!!:righton:

Truls - nice to see an european face in here :)

Itoman - I think it's not a matter of popularity. I'm not mad at guys that lives in other countries. I just don't inderstand some...politicall differences. Why some of us are almost forced to pay bigger price for the same stuff or pay premium price for discount goods.
Another example: American Ford focus (2,6l) and smaller EU version (1.4l, 80 hp) costs the same money (18.000$).

God bless all countries...we're the same people :)

No, I agree with you 100% - I do not know why it should cost more. It should be the same equivalent of the price in AMerican dollars, plus shipping, which of course would be more due to traveling difference.
(Sorry, did not mean to leave Poland out - wasn't thinking!!!) Welcome to the forum, btw!!!:)
