I've read a ton of threads here and I see a lot of discussion about paint, wheels, interior and even glass but I have not seen much addressed about chrome and plastic chrome. I have an older Expedition with plastic chrome grill, mirrors and center caps on the wheels which have all taken a beating from bugs and salt and snow when it lived in Montana. I would like to clean this car up and am wondering what are some good products for plastic chrome. Also products and methods for cleaning and shining emblems and what do you do about the paint inside of them and close to the edges?

i was also wondering this, last car i did i just used plexus on em..mothers also makes a plastic polish, DP plex-all too

Dubbin1 recently used Nevr-Dull and had GREAT results!!

^ is that some type of pitting or was it just dirt...how would the polish remove that type of tarnish

Not sure, as I stated this is Dubbin1's work. You can send him a PM and ask...

I've had success using Klasse AIO and PB's PwS.

Because of this post, I ordered the Never Dull and it scratched my plastic chrome grill. I must say it did nicely on my stainless steel exhast tips.

Sorry to hear that Ron!! But thanks for sharing, that is good information to know!!! I was also thinking about getting some to use on the plastic chrome grill (and there's a lot of it) on my Dodge Ram...

I'm not sure how Nevr Dull could scratch anything. I scrubbed the crap out of those center caps and as you can see there is no scratches in them. You must have picked up some debris or something in the wad.

Grill was clean and QD. It really didn't scratch but it did dull the chrome on two spots. Did my tips and it came out great. Funny Never Dull and it dulled my grill.

I've used never dull, but only on stainless steel. Worked pretty good.
Yeah, Mark my tips are stainless and they came out great. Of course the tips were in good shape to begin with.
