Products that dont live up to the Hype

Really? I was just going to order this after all the excellent reviews.

Get it. Even if you just use it as a rinseless. I only have ONR v2 to compare it to but find it far superior. And ONR is no slouch.

Superior to ONR v2.
Pretty much all the attributes assigned to v3 (or as some would say, v4), I find in UWW+. I was just using the Ultima in waterless dilution as a presoak to ONR. When my ONR supply ran low I tried the Ultima as rinseless and liked it much better. Therefore I've yet to try the newer ONR.

yea i guess that's the way it looks lol. Im not fond of it compared to others because everytime i use it im surprised by how streaky it is, it takes more passes with a towel to get rid of them and im underwhelmed by the cleaning ability as well.

I do like that it has a high dilution ratio which makes it last forever.

You using distilled water as your mixer? What paint are you using it on and type of towels? . UWW is too good for you to hate

I use filtered water. Would it be that much of an issue? I haven't had issues with other products with filtered h2o. I use it on my '13 silverado in the shade with waffel weave, adam's single soft, and gold plush jr. towels.

Don't use it on anything unless you have to. This is an approach which should be central to detailing - use the least aggressive product necessary to do the job.

To answer more accurately, keep WB away from anything polished/unlaquered/damaged/special. Should be mostly fine on powder coat.

Meguiar's 105 is the bench mark for all compounds out there.
Since it's introduction everyone has been trying to make there own version.
I'll put 105 up against any compound and 105 usually blows them away.
All the "problem" with 105 can be blamed on the user. You guys use way to much (of just about any product).

Using filtered water is fine. Most that have problems with streaking is because the panels are still hot. Driving it into the shade after driving the car all day in the sun will not cool off in a few minutes. The hood especially will remain hot for quite awhile. Using more then 1/2 oz. per 22oz of water may also cause streaking. This may not be your case, but it does happen a lot.

Even though the product itself isn't surrounded by hype, the brand is. I tried Dodo Juice Blue Velvet Pro and thought it was absolute crap. At least I got the panel pot and not the full size pot. Probably won't be trying any of their waxes in the near future.

Yea, I have a panel pot of hard candy and wasn't close to being impressed. I wouldn't say its crap but ill stick with what I had before.

... Red tropical detailer on the other hand, that stuff is AWESOME.

Megs Wheel Brightener and 105

Meg's 105 is super over hyped. It may cut well but then so does almost every compound from a good brand. 105 dusts like a ##### sweating at the church. Plus it has really short work time. It probably does the job but there are better compounds out there.

I love wheel brightener. As long as your careful, you should be fine. Follow the instructions.

105 is over hyped. It works but there are better options. I feel sorry for new detailers buying and thinking that 105 is as good as it gets. I bought because of all the hype and was very disappointed.

I completely agree with you M. In fact, I got pissed off reading about all the complainers a while back about it's supposedly heavy affliction with dusting. I don't find that at all. In fact, due to all the complainers, I made a video about how to use it:

Works awesome with a MF Cutting pad and or the LC Cyan Hydro Tech cutting pad on a DA and also the Megs Yellow Polishing pad.

I don't have any plans to ever change or go away from M105 as my go to compound.

Well, consider this. M100 has more cut, and works just the same...AND IS CHEAPER!! I bought a gallon of it and love it. I'm just using up the last of my 105 and then it's 100 from now on. The 101 I don't like as much as you have to use it differently and I like my method and results of using 105/100.
