Products you use over and over and over

Good Question. Any help? What is a good anti-static LSP or QD?

I have a black car and since I discoverd FK-425 it's the only QD I use. It is awesome and the antistaitc properties really do work to reduce static and dust accumulation. It is one of my favorite products.:dblthumb2:

I could not say it better, except I still use other QDs when the mood strikes. FK425 is the best for anti-static. FK Poly Seaol is also very good but requires a little more work than 425 to buff off.

I'd be interested in opinions of the anti-static properties of FK425. My black motorcycle became a dust & road grime magnet when I started using UQW & UQD. It isn't any better using PB's S&W or ONR as a QD. I suspect the plush MFs I'm using may be the source of the static as I didn't have that problem before I started using quality MF. Of course, then I had to deal with swirls

BTW, I see AG has gallon size FK125 on sale for $29.99.

this may sound silly to some, but have you ever tried grounding your bike with jumper cables, like they do when painting a car to get rid of the static?

Never crossed my mind. I'm not nearly as obsessive about the bike because I ride the crap out of it.... 2 - 3 times more miles per year than my car. It's impossible to keep pristine with that kind of miles. I generally do QD or ONR wipedowns in between the serious washes and as little as 10 or 20 miles produces a coating of crud all over the back and saddlebags. Dressers tend to create that vacuum behind 'em like pickup trucks, vans and station wagons that coat the rear with road grime.

Before I discovered the benefit of MF I used soft cotton diapers and didn't seem to have the same problem to this degree. However, I was constantly fighting swirls from the cotton and Harley's Vivid Black is miserably soft. Walk by it and exhale and you risk putting marks in the finish.

Think I'll give the FK 425 a try.

I thought this was cool thread to bump to see what's changed. 303AP was on of my most used products back then. Looks like UPGW has stood the test of time for me.

One really unknown product that I use every time I wash my car is Glass Science's Glass Scrub. I use it by hand on my windows with every wash and it keeps me from getting waterspots.

For a normal car wash:

Optimum Car Wash (Much better than my old standby Z-7)
Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush (Originally I thought this was too expensive, but its durability over other brushes I used in the past has shown that to be wrong.)
Z buckets with grit guards (Same as AutoGeek, different logo.)
Miracle Towels (Maybe not the Flavor of the Month in microfibers, but they keep coming out of the washer just like new and can handle any job.)
Z-6 (Sometimes Z-18)
Stoners Invisible Glass

I'm trying to break my Z habit, but over the years its durability, no white residue or staining of trim keeps drawing me back. Optimum is the new line that I'm auditioning since I was so impressed with their car wash and ONR. So far the GPS is a keeper for cleaning the paint. I tried the spray wax this weekend and will be interested in it's durability. I only work on my daily driver and of course polymers do nothing to hide my sins, but the majority of people never notice.
