Three comments...

First: One thing we want to avoid is forum group crawling, that is where we continually add more and more forum groups. It's real easy to do and while it can be easy to make a case for a new, dedicated forum group, it make a forum too busy or crowded.


Second: Creating a dedicated forum group for Pro Detailers to announce themselves is a service not only to the Pro Detailers but also to people looking for a Pro Detailer in their area to take care of their car.

Third: A similar forum group would be a dedicated forum group for "Detailer Wanted" requests where a member could post they're looking for a detailer to work on their car.



That's all, just comments...

Three questions about the list

Not to be the naysayer, but how do we keep the list of detailers current? People leave the forum / quit business all the time. Nothing more frustrating than 'link rot'.

Second question...What standards are used to ensure the people on the list are not "DISO Divas"? IMO there's a bit of an implied guarantee if AG has a list of "pros" on their forum.

Third...without some kind of an AG Guarantee that you can trust your car to someone on their list, what benefit does the list have over phone book/google/local advertising that detailers can do?

Interesting concept, but not sold on the idea.

I understand all of your points. This thread was created by another forum member and not backed by Autogeek. In regards to the "DISO Diva" comment, I think the OP addressed this with the comment of posting links to your Show and Shine details. The only issue with that, not the first person has done so.
