Proper pad use

Polishing is an art not a science. From your prior posts, it did not seem to have much prior polishing experience. Pad selection, how much polish you use, how you work it, etc. will make a big difference in results. Technique is far more important than the polish. An experienced XMT user probably could get the results you wanted so I would not dismiss it so quickly.

I may not be a professional such as yourself...but I'm definitely no idiot, and followed directions. No, you can't learn everything in doing two cars, but you do learn. I've read enough about XMT to know that it's not the best, and it doesn't do well on hard CC. I guess it's because I'm a newbie that I made the mistake to buy XMT in the first place. Anyone who is "experienced," in all honesty, probably isn't wasting their time with XMT.

Well i figure it this way if someone is going out of there way to help me i'm going to listen .True i'm not a pro and don't make a living doing this .But i take pride in my work and listen very close when someone tells me what too do.I'm not going to take a chance screwing the paint on my vette because i didn't listen.Im 51 years old and not ashamed to ask how too do something.I will use my xmt products and my klasse products on my other cars or for the guys cars that work for me .Money these is a big issue of coarse i spent a ton all ready on waxs and polish .I even was going to go too a detail school in Pittsburg just to learn and i may still go but i live in south fla so it's a little to much for a two day school to spend.Hopefully there will be some form of class down here.I know Auto geek has a detail fest every year and i'm only about an hour from there place . The hardest to learn is proper machine use and how long you should spend on one area i figure the only way to learn this is the fellow people on hear who have been very nice and put them selfs out too help peole like myself who know jacks--t about detailing my goal is to be able to show a black car like my vette and have it look like the pictures posted by Asphalt Rocket and the others who have shown me there pictures of the cars they detail. Just wanted to Thank everyone who has helped so far and hopefully one day i will be able to help someone else if this vette doesn't kill me LOL

There are some top notch detailers in Fl. Some of them post on here. Maybe you could ask them for a couple days of hands on training.
