Proper towel to dry off water

I am glad it workked for you as well mate. By chance could you private message me where you bought it and for how much?

You will find that when a car is properly maintained a Master Blaster or blower will remove most water in addition to using the sheeting method while washing. After blowing take whatever towel you decide on and blot the remaining water instead of rubbing it around with a chance of reinstalling defects to the surface.

Let me know what you bought sputnik1111. I am happy i could help you:)

Microfibermadness Dry Me Crazy or Guzzlers. I use a lot of Guzzlers from AG.

The PVA absorbent towel does its job and yes it is far cheaper that microfiber cloths. It is delicate and smooth so it will not mark your paint for sure. Good Luck:)

The best part of this post is the closing statement..."Good Luck"

If you are using this type of towel you will actually need "Great Luck".

I should add that prior to wiping with say a Guzzler I use a small, damp, MF towel spritzed with spray wax, waterless wash, or spray detailer to wipe off excess water and catch any dirt I may have missed. Then I wipe with the Guzzler. It glides over the paint from wipe down with the spray product. Wring out the smaller towel as needed. Your larger Guzzler will still be nearly dry when finish and your car will be glowing and just asking for a cruise around the neighborhood.

Thank you all for help. I was looking for inexpensive towel that does decent (not perfect) job and I think so far this is it.

Wow, that looks like one of those "Damp with water & wear around your neck for cool relief all day long!" -towels.

I swear, those things will scratch the snot out of a car's paint. Made from PVA rather than microfiber if I'm not mistaken. They're nice & handy around the house. but I just couldn't trust one of those near paint.

That said, if you're having good luck with it so far and haven't noticed any damage, then they must have gotten better at making those things, lol.

I personally use the Griot's Garage Drying Towel. I generally only need one for most cars, but for larger SUV's and Trucks (Suburban, F150, etc.) it may take two. They're expensive, but if you have an Advanced Auto Parts around you and use the $20 off $50 special they are running currently then you can get two of them for an outstanding price right in your price range.

What... nobody is using a "water blade"? :joking:
What a piece of junk! (Even though I've seen a well known guy from around town use one on more than one occasion! And for vehicles that did NOT get paint correction.)

I have it on good authority that Microfiber Tech is getting in some new "very nice Korean waffle weaves" next week. :) (They are scheduled to be at the port on the 7th I think.)

Also getting in some new glass towels.

Should have some samples to review in a couple weeks. :dblthumb2:
