Proper way to use touch up paint.

What I tried ,is use regular touch-up paint, let dry about 20 minutes , then fold up a Viva paper towel in a ball, and apply BRAKE CLEAN to the ball and very lightly wipe over the touch-up paint.QUOTE]

How do you fold a paper towel into a ball without having creases?
You crumble it up . Will only work with Viva towels, they are the softest.

Hey guys, I messaged richy but I'm in a hurry to see if this is fixable without spending alot of $$$.

Long story short, Me and a buddy were drinking, he went to put the hose away and flung it over his shoulder, hit the hood of my car and left a gash in the clear coat.

I can feel it if I run my finger over it, however like some other scratches on my car my nail doesn't get caught in the gash.

Thanks for the reply Richy, Is anyone able to recommend a good detailer who wet sands in Va? Tidewater area to be specific.

The last guy I used was damn good, he cleaned out the engine and did a emergency detail after a guy hacked up my clearcoat, but I doubt he can wet sand.

Lmao, Was just a wash & dry, darn road salt. But I'll look at that picture everytime I pick up a beer to ensure it doesn't happen again. I'm gonna try Dr.ColorChip first and see how noticable it is. I read a couple days ago that factory paint doesn't respond to well to wet sanding.
