Protecting Winter Wheels?

I plasti dipped some wheels for winter. Worked great. Easy to touch up after a couple years too. When I sold the wheel/tire set they still looked fine. I used it because the wheels I was using were not perfect and the plastic dip covered nicely and gave a new look.

I wouldn’t plasti dip the OPs wheels at this point just use a coating you have or buy a bottle of Dlux

I agree that a coating would be the best option, but I've never done it, even though I do paint coatings for winter. I just use a couple coats of FK1000p. Gets me thru PA winters with ease, just using a rinseless wash for maintenance on both my chrome and clearcoated wheels. Frankly, I not fond of FK on paint (sorry, Accumulator), preferring either Collinite or DG, but it's unbeatable on wheels, IMO. Must be something to the Hi-Temp claim.

:agree:Dlux was made for wheels. Look at the Dlux applicator when dried compared to a applicator used for CQuartz 3,0. Night and day difference, does this mean Dlux will last longer? Dunno, but it sure looks more durable.
