Sony Playstation 3 should be coming out this November. Prices are $500 for 20 GB and $600 for 60 GB. I'm planning to get it. They might do the same bs they did with PS2 - limited quantities, and then buy it off ebay for over $1000. That's not what I want. I want to preorder and get it for sure. Also don't want to stand in line at 2am.

Anyway, back to the topic what whould be the best place to get it? Online store? I don't want any bs - shuch as give us your credit card for age verification and we'll give you a PS3. That is stealing identity. Or maybe a local electronics store will be a best bet?

Anyone preordered PS2 when it first came out this way?

I can't wait to play Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Thanks in advance.

I got both my PS and PS2 on the date of first release at the local stores. Sony seems to understand supply and demand. I also waited in line for one of the 1st Xbox and had to scout Target for the Xbox360. Ive realized I am to old for anymore machines however. I must have 30 sealed games I bought at full price.

I don't have a video game player at home, but I'm pretty sure that if you call the company's customer service number, you can probably find out who their local retail store/distributor is for your area. I'd then contact that store manager to find out how to pre-buy/order it. Like I said, I don't own a video game player, but I have had some experience pre-ordering other products this way. It can't hurt to try.:)
