purple power degreaser

About 8-9 months ago, I went to use purple power on my Tahoe's wheel wells, and frame rails. They weren't really dirty, just dusty, and it wasn't too long before that, maybe a month earlier, that I had coated all my wheel wells with 3M Rubberized Undercoating. It was used 1-1.

Let it dwell a few minutes, then spray with the garden hose to rinse.

The stuff turned my wheel wells and frame rails a horrible nasty white, figured they were ruined. (luckily only did one side)

I went back over those areas with LA's totally awesome, then figured I'd try a can of no touch tire spray I had laying around (silicone of course) and they came back, but that was it, never again used the stuff again on either of my vehicles.

The rest of the gallon I used around the house instead, and also used it for pre-treating greases-oils on clothes, and my MF Towels. Seems to work good for the towels pretty good.

I always keep Purple Power on hand for my detail shop.
Works great on tires, I cut it 1:1
Can't beat the price, one gallon makes me two gallons for five bucks, love it.
Works great on a really nasty engine bay, like all APC make sure to rinse well as it's an aggressive cleaner.

Personally, I wouldn't even bother with the stuff. I don't see a point in using it because it's not scalable. If you have an employee would you rather them using this product or one that is safer, with more safe purposes.

I choose Meguiars APC, degreaser and wheel acid because of their track record, and those products when used as intended do just that, work. I do pay $10 a gallon, but at 4:1 dilution ratio that's $2.5 a gallon for a strong and safe products. At 10:1, it's $1 a gallon for an APC, that is intended to be used on cars.

$5 a gallon shelf price might seem like a deal, but it doesn't have much value to the detailer due to the amount and different types of sensitive materials used.

I always have Meguiar's APC on hand.
For interiors I use the Meg's , for engines, fender wells , tires I use PP or Totally Awesome,I've never had any issues using it.
One thing I make sure of is not to let it dwell long.
