These are 2 very different sealants behaving in the same unusual manner. I gotta think there is another variable at play. Humidity, dewpoint or prep. Since this happened to Bobby, I think we can rule out prep!

I do spend allot of time preparing the finish as I always want to give a product every advantage to succeed and show me what it can do.

Perhaps the things you mentioned did come into play here but at least I'm a bit more comfortable knowing that the product is there and doing its job protecting the finish.
