Q 2 trim prey clean on a new car

Can I use a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol for pre-clean on the black trim of a new car then apply Q2 trim.
I don't have GYEON Prep its a week to get to me at my shop.

I think you can. IPA solutions are fairly easy to mix and effective. However, you have to be careful about the wiping such that you don't scuff the paint (not an issue with trim). Some will argue synergy: stay within a brand. I don't find any merit in that unless someone can explain to me (chemically) why a certain product helps the final product bond. I use Gtechniq Panel Wipe or mineral spirits for a lot of polish removal, and they both work fine (i.e., I've enjoyed product-advertised longevity out of coatings applied thereafter).
 
Most body shop supply places even some part stores would also have some prep product that would work in a pinch

Nothing wrong with Gyeon prep though it’s a good product

I live in a place where I just can't go to the store for stuff my 2 places that I get stuff from is Regina Sk. 3 1/2 hrs and Calgary 5hrs.
This week is a dodge demon 26km on it have to fix the hood. And fix the scach in the window.
And do 4 other rides.
